The BAC 1-11 was a successful short-haul airliner which first took to the skies in 1963. The last UK built One-Eleven was in 1982, by which time production was transferred to Romania and built as the Rombac 1-11.
Ryanair is Europe’s original low fares airline and is now Europe’s largest low fares carrier. Ryanair acquired its first jet aircraft, the
BAC1-11 in 1987 and purchased a total of eleven to form the mainstay of it’s fleet until the Boeing 737 was introduced in 1997.
Ryanair 1-11 is a ‘real time’ unedited flight deck DVD, filmed in 1992, of an actual passenger flight in a BAC 1-11-500 from London Stansted to Dublin . This cockpit DVD follows the flight in every detail from before engine start to after engine shutdown, including pilot conversations and with Air Traffic Control.
A collectors DVD for the aviation enthusiast as Ryanair no longer operate the BAC 1-11 and very few One-Eleven’s remain flying today. Re-released from 1992 and digitally re-mastered for DVD.
