The BAe 146 is a very succcessful four engine jet airliner built by British Aerospace. It is renowned for it’s quietness and it’s ability to operate out of small airports.
AirUK 146 is an unedited ‘real time’ cockpit DVD of a 1991 AirUK passenger flight, in a BAe 146, from London Stansted to
Paris Charles de Gaul. Follow from the flight deck, every moment from the Captain's briefing before engine start to engine
shutdown after landing.
Air UK was established in 1980 following the merger of Air West, Air Wales, Air Anglia and British Island Airways. The BAe 146 formed the mainstay of the company's fleet for many years. Following a takeover by KLM in the 1990s, AirUK was to re-emerge under the name KLM UK. Later rebranded as Buzz in 2000, the airline was eventually to be fully integrated into Ryanair's mainstream operations following a successful takeover in 2003.
