The Boeing 737-300 is the first model of the second generation CFM56 powered 737 family, equipped with the EFIS flight deck.
The 737-300 flew for the first time in 1984 and since then well over one thousand 737-300s have been sold, forming the backbone of many airline’s short haul fleets.
Air Atlantis 737-300 is a flight deck DVD, filmed in 1992, of an actual passenger flight in a Boeing 737-300 from Dublin to Faro (Portugal). This film follows the flight in every detail from before engine start to after engine shutdown, including pilot conversations with Air Traffic Control.
Departing Dublin from Runway 28 we climb to our cruise level of 36,000 feet passing over UK, French and Spanish airspace and over the Bay of Biscay to make an ILS approach to runway 11 at Faro International Airport. View the EFIS flightdeck with four colour CRT screens and operation of the Flight Management Computer.
An essential film for pilots and aviation enthusiasts. A collectors DVD, as the Portuguese charter airline Air Atlantis ceased trading in the 1990’s. Re-released from 1992 and digitally re-mastered for DVD.
